BIG PINE KEY, Florida (September 15, 2018) – Hearts & Hands Disaster Recovery (HHDR) provides disaster impacted communities with innovative programs to address the unmet needs of residents. The agency will provide mold remediation, tarping, and debris removal services to 10 homes in the Big Pine Key area on Saturday, September 15, 2018. This event will commemorate the first anniversary of Hurricane Irma and will be a celebration of the agency’s five-year anniversary. HHDR was founded in August 2013 in response to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and has spent the last five years responding to disasters around the country.
HHDR is currently seeking client referrals in the Big Pine Key/Marathon area as part of the Mold Blitz anniversary event. Clients must be referred by their Disaster Case Managers via the HHDR website under the “Need Help?” tab in the navigation bar. In order to be eligible for assistance, clients must have been the primary homeowner during the time of the disaster and exhibit a significant financial need.
