EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:

Project Manager  – Mold Remediation Program

 

Summary:

The Project Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and will work with teams of volunteers and paid contractors to complete work to homes that have been approved and accepted by HHDR for the mold remediation program. The Project Manager will be trained to conduct mold remediation and is expected to work alongside teams of volunteers to ensure quality control of the remediation process. The Project Manager must be willing to work in small, dark, hot, spaces including attics and crawlspaces. The Project Manager must be able to carry at least 50lbs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage job sites for both new construction and remodeling projects
  • Create schedules for volunteer teams and ensure all projects are fully staffed
  • Create detailed work orders for volunteer teams
  • Interview and recommend licensed contractors to Executive Director for projects that may not be completed with volunteer labor
  • Create and manage the budgets for each project, including supplies, materials and labor
  • Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites
  • Communicate needs, concerns, and project updates regularly to Executive Director
  • Maintain constant communication with clients through home closing process
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills Include:

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • 3+ years’ experience in new construction and in a supervisory capacity
  • General knowledge for minor home repairs
  • Some experience with remodeling projects preferred
  • Working knowledge of green building practices highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with no decline in quality control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required
  • Bilingual a plus
